Twenty-two years after her death, Selena Quintanilla is still remembered and admired by her loved one, many celebrities, and fans. After sadly passing away, Hollywood and the Quintanilla family agreed to create the 1997 film, Selena with Jennifer Lopez as the Mexican-American star and Jon Seda playing her amor guitarist, Chris Perez. The movie produced by father, Abraham Quintanilla Jr. were breakout films for Lopez and Seda as both were beginning their acting career.
Fast forward to today, and the Chicago Justice actor and the late Bidi Bidi Bom Bom star's husband are still friends and hang out together. Since the Puerto Rican actor took the time to completely take on the role as Chris during the film of Selena, he learned how to play the guitar as well.
Recently, the former Treme star posted a video of himself playing an electric guitar on social media honoring Perez. He captioned the short clip with, "Long way to go before I sound like my boy @chrispereznow but a guy can dream, right? #practice#artist #guitar." Watch his skills below, and prepare to be amazed!
This isn't the first time Seda has played homage to the late Dreaming of You singer. In one of his first Instagram post, the Chicago TV star was captured this time playing an acoustic guitar on set remembering the "Como la Flor" singer and her spirit.
Practice makes perfect, right? Thanks to the 1997's film his role as Chris impacted him artistically forever. The New York-bred actor is frequently seen practicing different songs with his loved ones from rock artists like Pink Floyd. What meaningful bromance the two share in honor of the late Queen of Technocuquima.
The two dashing men were last seen catching up over at a restaurant last January to celebrate Seda's success on the NBC police series Chicago Justice.
